For those of us who need a steady diet of death metal, Nomicon heaps it on with a steady hand. These guys do a dilligent and learned style with a lean to the past style of oldschool like Entombed, but with a more modern and sharper brutality in-tact. The vocalist is gruff, but near-human. you can understand a good bit of what he growls. Of course, at times he sounds a bit like he's metamorphing painfull into some demonic form, but then, what death vocalist doesn't. I'm pretty happy with the guitars, especially the gallops and the solos. Sometimes this thing just chugs along like a Herculean steam driven juggernaut. You could get sweaty just listening to this roaring horror. These guys have refined the art or death to their own effortless picture of black extinction and hell.
