NOMINON
”RECREMATION” CD ’05
After
the quite average The True Face Of Death with horrible
vocals on it, Nominon released a fenomenal death metal
CD. Five constant beer drinkers and "Skool shouters"
unleash their souls in 34 minutes and they present
us their vision of death metal. We're dealing with
death metal in vain of Grave, Dismember, Morbid Angel,
Unleashed, Benediction and bands like them. This is
no pussy or trendy stuff. You won't find any nice
solos like you hear from Amott bros., no annoying
harmonies ala In Flames or "Soilworkish"
vocals. You'll get technicaly advanced druming of
Perre Karlsson (the snare parts are fenomenal, don't
get me started on hi-hat stopping parts), which will
make your jaws open for hours, low tuned guitars with
a scent of Dismember (Juha and Christian avoid the
solos, but they play great death/thrashy riffs), Joel's
bass line is good and exactly dosed. Added to this
are the vocals of Daniel Garptoft, a perfect mixture
of evil growling/screaming. Catchy and Agressive!
The cliche lyrics speak about evil, death and psychosis,
the booklet itself is very old-school styled with
black and white graphics by Chrisa Moyena, the man
whose drawings appear in many death metal booklets.
The LP version includes the Whiplash cover Spit On
Your Grave. Total fucking death metal - no question
about it!
