– "Recremation" LP/CD

English:
After the latest KAAMOS release, there is also a second
cool release from Sweden: NOMINON with their second
full length album. Also this release is in the old
school Swedish tradition and leaves the a little bit
weaker MCD „True Faces Of Death“ behind
you. There is also a new member in Joek (bass, IMMERSED
IN BLOOD). But now the CD: First of all the great
package (in a papersleeve and a cool Chris Moyen b/w
drawing!). Musicianwise it's still the old Swedish
sound, while the material differs from mid-tempo breakers
to faster stuff and soundwise it's also very rough
and brutal. The voice is more or less in the ENTOMBED
directon, so not too deep, but very cool, the guitar
sound is typical for Sweden, but I think it sounds
more like the EDGE OF SANITY guitarsound and the whole
music is more or less in the old ENTOMBED/ GRAVE style.
So, if there is any Sweden fan, who will not like
it, he/she has to listen to Hammerfall. Great CD,
which is, which is more than welcome in my CD collection!

German: Und nach der neuen KAAMOS gibt's gleich noch
einen Aufschlag aus Schweden in Form der zweiten kompletten
NOMINON Scheibe. Und die lässt sich genauso im
old school Schweden Sound nieder und lässt die
etwas schwächere „True Faces Of Death“
MCD vergessen. Übrigens ist mit Joel (b) jetzt
auch ein IMMERSED IN BLOOD Mitglied dabei. Nu, aber
zur CD, die erstmal durch die wirklich fette Aufmachung
(Pappschutzhülle und ein cooles s/w Chris Moyen
Cover lassen keine Wünsche übrig!) auffällt.
Musikalisch geht's wie schon gesagt in die alte Schweden
Ecke, wobei das Material vom Mid-Tempo Stampfer bis
hin zum schnellen Material komplett ausgereizt wurde,
der Sound dementsprechend roh und brutal ausgefallen
ist und sich alles nach „ich-hätte-vor-15-Jahren-ein-Klassiker-sein-können“anhört.
Stimmlich eher in die ENTOMBED Schiene also etwas
rotziger und nicht zu tief, der Gitarrensound typisch
Schweden, wobei mir hier eher EDGE OF SANITY in den
Sinn kommt und vom Gesamtfeeling eine Mischung aus
GRAVE und ENTOMBED. Also wer hier als Schwedenfan
nicht schwach wird, hört HAMMERFALL. Neben der
neuen KAAMOS, den DELVE/VERMINOUS Sachen und der NECROVATION
Single gibt's also noch einen Zuschlag, der sich gewaschen
hat. Gut 33 Minuten, 9 Tracks, geiles Layout, geile
Mucke = Topteil, was man sich auf jeden Fall ohne
Bedenken in die Sammlung stellen kann!
